How to fix burn hole on water-resistant jacket?

B1's nice pink jacket has a tiny burnt hole,from incense stick while praying in Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin Temple.

I bought these iron-on stuff from Daiso,trying to fix the hole. The problem is, the jacket's made of nylon material with cotton inner lining.The hole is only on the nylon layer, so I couldn't use the method stated in that "patching double-sided cloth",and I am not sure if the nylon material can withstand the heat from iron when I iron-on the stickers?

I am thinking of placing small piece of cotton cloth on the hole(from front),then the double-sided patching cloth,than the stickers.Iron them on with a piece of cloth on top to protect the nylon material. Not sure it that works?!
