Review: L'egere UV Whitening BB Cream SPF34

It says "Water-proof,Sweat-Proof,UV Protect+Whitening+Soothing+moisturizing+wrinkle-free+skin cover"

According to its packaging, it is supposed to be Good For: Skin that needs protection, irritated skin by peeling and laser procedures, sensitive and troubled skin...sounds like something I need...

I have not been using foundation since my skin became red and sensitve.I used Palgantong BB cream color#20,from Hong Kong occassionally but find it too thick and "heavy" for me.

The L'ergere feels lighter, thinner and cooling compared to Palgantong's.

It does make my dark circles and spots on cheeks less obvious, but I still need some concealer if I really want better coverage.

Though it's not mentioned in their packaging, I found that It is good at concealing my pores,a bonus!

There is only one color, but it's supposed to "match your skin tone and present natural look after 15min",according to what's been written on the packaging.

It looks dark when squeezed out from the tube, but turns lighter when applied on my face. I find it slightly lighter than my face skin tone, but still acceptable.

Though it's said to have "Good Control of Sebum & whitening you skin at the same time", my T-zone,especially nose does shine just after about 2 hours.

The promoter said the Original version, with lower SPF has better coverage, but for me I think this lighter, whitening one with higher SPF is good enough for me.

Hainanese Chicken Rice

http://www.yamierice.com/yamierice1.html

Cooked this Chicken Rice today.

B1 and I tried the claypot rice, yam rice and chicken rice at a promotion counter in Taka. She likes the chicken rice so I bought one packet to try.

One packet is good for 2-3 persons. Just add rice and 330ml of water to rice cooker to cook. After 7min,stir the rice mix, then continue to cook. When the rice is cooked, leave it to sit in the cooker at Keep Warm mode for at least 20min.

While cooking, I could smell the kitchen and living filled with aroma of chicken rice.

It says "No added MSG",but the ingredients listed emulsifier,anti-cake agents and chicken flavour.

The rice is fluffy and not too oily(forgot to take a picture of therice).Taste quite authentic. This is good for people who work or study abroad and miss Singapore Food.

The Yam rice taste squite authentic too.It has the flavour of yam and Hay-Bee(dried shrimps). But the claypot rice is just so-so.

SVPS -Be Yourself Day

31 Aug 09

Teacher's Day celebrations and "Be Yourself Day".

Students are encouraged to dress as creatively as possible.

B1 chose to dress as a chef.

Helped her searched the Net for ideas on how to make the hat.

We used two A4 white art paper, and a plastic bag from Fair Price supermarket. Does it look real?

There's a contest, two lucky winners get to receive $50 voucher each.

B1 managed to get into semi-finals.Another of her classmates got into the Finals, dressed as a doctor, but both of them did not win any prizes.

Still,B1's very proud, especially when she told us, when the finalist got on stage, one teacher pointed to her and said, "they should have chosen this girl(B1)."

Her teacher told her that she could wear the same thing again for 01 Oct Children's Day Celebrations.

I told her may be she should make and bring some cookies to share with teachers and classmates, to show them that she doesn't just dress like a chef, she IS a chef!

If not because she has too much school assignment to complete,we actually planned to make cookies for Teacher's day.

Teacher's day...shuttle bus from Borneo Motor Bodyworks

School holiday today.

Sent car to Borneo bodycare workshop at Pandan Cresent. While B1's having their Milo, one uncle stood at the door and said "shuttle bus to MRT leaving!"

Didn't know that there is such service, but decided within seconds that we should hop on the shutttle bus instead of calling for cab from Pandan crescent.Told B1 to quickly finish her Milo and we managed to catch the last shuttle bus.

It's a small 10-seater van actuallly. We were a bit clumsy, with B1 & B2 and a stroller.Luckily two ladies in the van helped. One helped to carry B2 while and collapsed and carry stroller, the other help to move and hold the stroller in the van, while I took over B2.

The van stopped at a HDB car park opposite the MRT station, which is much better than stopping at the roadside,so we can take our time to unload the stroller and alight without added pressure from blocking traffic.

Flagging cab at the roadside near Clementi MRT station is fast and easy.Cost $9.40,taking the Bukit Timah Route.

The Borneo rep said car should be ready at around 3pm-4pm. Still drizzling outside...hope the rain stopped by the time the car is ready,or it would be harder to call cab down and troublesome too.

Called the workshop at 4.45pm.My car's ready for he forgot to call me! Immediately called a cab down, reached there at 5.20pm,they are closed at 5.30pm! Cab fare cost about S$16.50 from CCK to Pandan Crescent.

Passed by IMM on way back,so decided to take dinner at IMM's Cafe Cartel.

B1 ordered Fish & Chips and Oreo milkshakes, while I ordered Banana and Peach Waffle.
